tu me manques

Come what may between us –
            a moment’s faith,
            or eternal grace –
there will always be a time and place
for what we share:
            a truth laid bare,
            a longing stare;
until into nothingness it passes.

You are missing from me.

  1. Thanks. I read something somewhere else talking about the sentimentality behind the translation of the phrase being so much more than just ‘I miss you.’

  2. I love this. I love the litteral translation to english of “tu me manques.” Well written poem!
